Slow Water Paper Arts
I collaborated with Slow River Paper Arts to capture the intricate craftsmanship of their layered paper cut artwork through photography. My work focused on highlighting texture, depth, and technique, translating delicate, dimensional pieces into compelling visual content for the artist’s personal portfolio. In addition, I produced high-resolution cover photography for Research on Diversity in Youth Literature, Vol. 3, ensuring each image preserved the clarity, detail, and artistic integrity required for print.
GoGo Macro - A 365-Day Macro Photography Project
To grow my skills as a photographer, I committed to a 365-day macro photography project titled “GoGo Macro.” Taking one macro photo each day for a year helped me refine both my technical abilities and creative vision, especially in composition and lighting. Over time, I added extension tubes, a rail slider for focus stacking, and improved lighting to my toolkit. Below is a selection of images from that project. The full series can be viewed on my Flickr page.
Product Photography
Applying the skills I developed during a 365-day macro photography project, I began photographing full-scale subjects while continuing to leverage the macro lens for its ability to capture fine detail. This work deepened my exploration of lighting and composition and contributed to the refinement of my visual style. During this time, I also began designing and constructing miniature, to-scale dioramas to serve as custom sets for toy and figurine photography.
